Could you explain an 80,000 word thesis in less than 180 seconds? Join us as our School finalists rise to this challenge! In just three minutes they will summarise their PhD research for a non-academic audience using just a single slide and no props.
Our finalists will be sharing their exciting research on threadworms, diabetes related lung disease, health economics and dengue transmission control, for the chance to win cash prizes up to £500 and represent the School in the National competition.
The Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) is an academic research communication competition developed by The University of Queensland (UQ), Australia. Established in 2008, 3MT is now held in at least 200 universities across more than 18 countries worldwide.
